Tomorrow is Another Day

I am so thankful blessed and excited that tomorrow is always a brand new day. That I get to wake up and go
to work and go to school to come home and do school work. It’s so easy to complain but how amazing is it that I have such opportunities. I pray that I will be grateful and thankful all throughout my day.

I am inspired by the daily battles and the daily victories of others. By family history and stories passed down through generations. Children lifting their hands to worship. Grandma Villa’s unwavering faith. My father’s generous and humble spirit. The creativity and passion of artists of all kinds. Papa Villa’s life. New places and cultures.

I am thankful that I am my mother’s daughter. That with heartache comes growth. For the little joys in life. For car rides with the windows down. Songs that speak into your soul and songs that make you just want to tap the steering wheel. A community that praises uniqueness. Newfound hobbies and expression. Having a voice and the freedom to use it.

I love feeling peace after a good cry. Singing in the shower. Singing in the car. Singing with music. Singing without music. Singing with friends. Singing alone. Singing. Conquering fears. Picking up accents in two days. Laughing with new friends. Sitting at the sushi bar. The feeling of accomplishment after eating at a restaurant alone. The “can’t put this book down” feeling.

I believe in Jesus Christ. In the power of faith and prayer. The healing power of laughter. A flower’s ability to brighten a day. The importance of family meals, Mexican food, and backyard barbeques. The need for community. That friends that become family are a true treasure. That your mind and your heart don’t always agree. The growth that comes from leaving your comfort zone. That soul mates exist. In my own ability to make a difference.

I am young. I am vibrant. I am beautiful. I am loving and kind. I am difficult and moody. I am compassionate. I am giving and selfish. I am talkative and even more talkative. I am unique. I am joyful. I am loved. I am blessed. I am ME!
